1. Introduction
Welcome to Dubai Carpet Store ("the Company," "we," "us," or "our"). We operate the website https://www.dubaicarpetstore.com/ and provide a comprehensive range of flooring solutions, carpets, curtains, sofa upholstery, and related services, including measurement, custom manufacturing, delivery, and installation, throughout Dubai and the UAE.
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website and all sales and services provided by the Company. By placing an order, engaging our services, or using our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions in full.
2. Orders and Quotations
- Quotations: All quotations provided by the Company are valid for a period of 30 days unless otherwise stated in writing. A quotation does not constitute a binding contract until an order confirmation is issued by the Company.
- Order Confirmation: An order is deemed accepted and a binding contract is formed only when the Company provides you (the "Customer") with a written Order Confirmation and receives the required 50% deposit.
- Order Changes and Cancellations:
- Due to the custom-made nature of our flooring, carpets, curtains, and upholstery products, changes or cancellations to an order can only be accepted within 48 hours of the Order Confirmation.
- Any changes requested after this period are at the sole discretion of the Company and may incur additional charges or delays.
- Cancellation requests made after the initial change window will result in the forfeiture of the deposit and may incur additional charges for materials, cutting, or work already completed.
3. Pricing and Payment
- Pricing: All prices quoted are in UAE Dirhams (AED) unless otherwise specified. Prices are exclusive of 5% VAT unless explicitly included in the quotation. Prices for flooring are typically quoted per square meter, carpets per square meter/yard, and curtains/upholstery based on fabric type and measurements.
- Payment Terms:
- A 50% deposit of the total order value is required at the time of placing the order and receiving the Order Confirmation.
- The remaining 50% balance must be paid in full on or before the day of installation/delivery.
- For large commercial projects, customized payment schedules may be arranged and will be specified in the quotation.
- Non-Payment: Title to the goods (flooring materials, carpets, curtains, upholstery fabrics) does not pass to the Customer until full payment for the goods and services has been received by the Company in cleared funds. If payment remains outstanding, the Company reserves the right to withhold delivery/installation and/or remove any installed products.
4. Measurements and Specifications
- Company Measurement Service: If the Company provides the measurement service (recommended for all flooring, carpet fitting, and curtain installation), we are responsible for the accuracy of those measurements. In the event of an error by the Company, we will rectify the issue at no additional cost to the Customer.
- Customer Measurements: If the Customer provides the measurements for flooring, carpets, curtains, or upholstery, the Customer is solely responsible for their accuracy. The Company will manufacture/cut the products strictly to the specifications provided. We will not be liable for products that do not fit due to incorrect measurements supplied by the Customer. No refunds or replacements will be offered in this case. Additional charges will apply for reorders.
- Product Variation: Natural materials (wool carpets, silk curtains, leather upholstery) and manufactured products (engineered wood, vinyl flooring) may exhibit natural variations in colour, pattern, texture, and grain.
- Digital screens and sample swatches may not accurately represent true colour; we strongly recommend viewing physical samples in your space's lighting before final confirmation. The Company will not refund or replace products based on colour discrepancies solely due to digital display variations.
- For carpet rolls and flooring batches, slight shade variations between different production batches are normal and not considered defects.

5. Delivery and Installation
- Delivery Timeframes: Estimated delivery and installation timeframes are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to custom manufacturing, international shipping, customs clearance, material availability, or site readiness. The Company will not be liable for any losses or damages caused by reasonable delays.
- Site Access and Preparation: The Customer must ensure:
- Clear, safe, and unobstructed access to all installation areas.
- Existing flooring/carpets are removed before our arrival (unless removal service is included).
- Rooms are empty of furniture for flooring/carpet installation (furniture moving service available at additional cost).
- For curtain installation, window areas are clear and accessible.
- Concealed Items & Subfloor Conditions: The Customer is responsible for informing the Company of any concealed items (pipes, wiring, underfloor heating) and subfloor conditions (moisture, unevenness). The Company is not liable for damage to unmarked concealed items or issues arising from undisclosed subfloor problems.
- Flooring Acclimatization: Wood and laminate flooring materials require 48-72 hours acclimatization in the installation environment. The Company will schedule delivery accordingly.
6. Warranty and Defects
- Product Warranties:
- Flooring: Manufacturing warranties as per manufacturer specifications (typically 10-25 years for quality products).
- Carpets: Warranties against manufacturing defects (varies by type: 5-10 years for commercial grade).
- Installation: 1-year warranty on installation workmanship.
- Curtains & Upholstery: Warranties on tracks/mechanisms (1-2 years), fabrics as per manufacturer.
- Defect Notification: The Customer must inspect products immediately upon delivery and installation completion. Any claims for visible defects, damage, or installation faults must be notified to the Company in writing within 7 days, providing photographic evidence. After this period, products are deemed accepted in satisfactory condition.
- Warranty Exclusions: The warranty does not cover:
- Damage from improper use, cleaning, or maintenance.
- Normal wear and tear, fading from sunlight exposure, or stains.
- Issues arising from improper subfloor conditions or environmental factors (excessive moisture, flooding).
- Modifications or repairs by unauthorized parties.
- Accidental damage, pet damage, or furniture indentations.
- Fabric Protection: We recommend professional fabric protection treatments for carpets and upholstery. Without such treatments, stains may become permanent and are not covered under warranty.
7. Care and Maintenance
- Product-Specific Care: Each product category (carpets, wood flooring, vinyl, curtains, upholstery) requires specific care. The Company provides care guidelines upon installation, but ultimate maintenance responsibility lies with the Customer.
- Professional Cleaning: For warranty validation, some products (especially wool carpets and certain upholstery fabrics) require periodic professional cleaning. The Company can recommend certified cleaning services.
- Environmental Factors: The Customer is responsible for maintaining appropriate environmental conditions (humidity levels for wood flooring, UV protection for fabrics). Damage from environmental extremes is not covered under warranty.
8. Returns and Refunds
- Custom Products: Due to the made-to-measure nature of our products, we generally do not accept returns or offer refunds for custom-cut flooring, fitted carpets, made-to-measure curtains, or custom upholstery unless defective as per warranty terms.
- Stock Items: Unopened, non-custom stock items (rugs, cushion covers, etc.) may be returned within 14 days of purchase, subject to a restocking fee (15%) and in original condition with all packaging.
- Sample Returns: Fabric and flooring samples are non-returnable but may be applied as credit toward future purchases.
- Refund Processing: Approved refunds will be processed within 14 business days via the original payment method.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by UAE law, Dubai Carpet Store shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, business opportunities, or property value, arising from your use of the website or the purchase and use of our products/services. Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of an order will be limited to the total price paid for the product(s) in question or the cost of rectification, whichever is less.
10. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, images, product designs, and layout, is the property of Dubai Carpet Store or its content suppliers and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws of the UAE and internationally. You may not reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell, or exploit any portion of the website, products, or services without express written permission from the Company.
11. Privacy and Data Protection
We collect and process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By using our services, you consent to such processing. We implement appropriate security measures but cannot guarantee absolute security of data transmitted online.
12. Force Majeure
The Company shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to: acts of God, government restrictions, wars, insurrections, pandemics, strikes, lockouts, supplier failures, transportation embargoes, or any other cause beyond the Company's reasonable control.
13. Amendments
The Company reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. It is the Customer's responsibility to review these Terms periodically. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by any court of competent jurisdiction, such provision shall be severed from these Terms, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
15. Entire Agreement
These Terms and Conditions, together with the Order Confirmation and any signed project agreement, constitute the entire agreement between the Customer and Dubai Carpet Store regarding the subject matter herein and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, negotiations, and discussions, whether oral or written.
16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Emirate of Dubai and the Federal Laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Dubai, UAE.
